Winter Warmers ~ Taryn Browning chooses Obsidian

Obsidian (Lux, #1)

Today we are really excited as Taryn Browning has join us for a second year for our Winter Warmers Event. We are so thankful Taryn was able to find time to take part as we know she has a lot going on at the moment both personally and professionally.
Now let's hand over to Taryn.

I absolutely loved this story, from the amazing characters to the unique storyline. This is my first young adult "aliens on earth" book and it did not disappoint. Actually, the characters were written so interestingly that I now love aliens. Haha, particularly ones like Daemon.

I read this book in about a night. It has been a while since a story has captivated me to the point where my husband has to pry the pages out of my fingers and make me go to bed. I love it when a book sucks you in and holds you until the very last page, even if it means severe sleep deprivation the next day.

As soon as I was finished I had to download the second book in the series, Onyx, to my kindle. I had to know what happened next. It was all I could think about. In my opinion, Obsidian is a must read - but prepare to do nothing but read. I am so excited to continue the series.

Thank you for letting me rave about Armentrout's Obsidian. Wishing you a very happy holiday season and a wonderful new year! :)

goodreads says:
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don't kill him first, that is.

We would like to say thank you once again to Taryn Browning for find the time in her busy life to add her post to the Winter Warmers Event.
