Artist Feature - Ollerina Art

We are really pleased to have Ollerina Art as the first Artist Feature at Midnight Reads. This feature will run over the month of May with new images being posted weekly, an artist interview and an amazing give-away.

The artist behind Ollerina Art is Karen Hurd who we came across at the Christmas Markets in Manchester in December 2010. We loved the art work that much that we went back for more.

Karen is an artist and illustrator who's work includes book art, commissions, bookmarks, badges, cards and mounted prints. We will find out more about Karen and Ollerina Art in week two of this artist feature.

We feel so excited to have Karen's work featured at Midnight Reads and we hope you love it just as much as we do!!

Midnight Reads would like to introduce you to the work of Karen Hurd...

On My Wishlist 1

On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It is a list of the books I want but don't yet have. The books can be old, new or forthcoming.

Title: Forever
Author: Maggie Stiefvater
Published: July 2011
By: Scholastic Press

Goodreads says:
The thrilling conclusion to #1 bestselling Shiver trilogy from Maggie Stievater
In Maggie Stiefvater's SHIVER, Grace and Sam found each other. In LINGER, they fought to be together. Now, in FOREVER, the stakes are even higher than before. Wolves are being hunted. Lives are being threatened. And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in

Title: Bloodlines

Author: Richelle Mead

Published: August 2011

By: Razorbill

Goodreads says:

The first book in Richelle Mead’s brand-new teen fiction series—set in the same world as Vampire Academy.

When alchemist Sydney is ordered into hiding to protect the life of Moroi princess Jill Dragomir, the last place she expects to be sent is a human private school in Palm Springs, California. But at their new school, the drama is only just beginning.
Populated with new faces as well as familiar ones, Bloodlines explores all the friendship, romance, battles and betrayals that made the #1 New York Times bestselling Vampire Academy series so addictive—this time in a part-vampire, part-human setting where the stakes are even higher and everyone’s out for blood.

Title: Tempestuous
Author: Lesley Livingston
Published: December 2010
By: Harper Teen

Goodreads says:
"I don't love Sonny Flannery."

That's the lie Kelley Winslow told to protect the boy she loves from a power he doesn't know he possesses. Devastated, Sonny retreats—to a haven for Lost Fae that's hidden deep underneath New York City.
But Kelley's not about to let things end in heartbreak. To get Sonny back, she's got to find out who's after his magick—and how to use her own. She's got to uncover who's recruiting Janus Guards to murderously hunt innocent Faerie. She's got to help rebuild the shattered theater company she called family. And she's got to do it all without getting dangerously distracted by the Fennrys Wolf, whose legendary heart of stone seems to melt whenever he's around Kelley.
The intrigue and romance that began with Wondrous strange and Darklight come to a stormy head in Tempestuous, the breathtaking conclusion to Lesley Livingston's ravishing urban Faerie trilogy.

That's what's On My Wishlist, what's on yours?
