Giveaway ~ Between the Lines ~ Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer

proof copy
Title:~ Between the Lines
Authors:~ Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer
Published by:~ Hodder & Stoughton
Date:~ July 2012

To mark the release of Between the Line my favourite Hodder rep Phil, gave me an extra proof copy and between us we decided to use the book as a giveaway here on Midnight Reads.

Here's what goodreads has to say:~

Delilah is a bit of a loner who prefers spending her time in the school library with her head in a book—one book in particular. Between the Lines may be a fairy tale, but it feels real. Prince Oliver is brave, adventurous, and loving. He really speaks to Delilah.

And then one day Oliver actually speaks to her. Turns out, Oliver is more than a one-dimensional storybook prince. He’s a restless teen who feels trapped by his literary existence and hates that his entire life is predetermined. He’s sure there’s more for him out there in the real world, and Delilah might just be his key to freedom.

Delilah and Oliver work together to attempt to get Oliver out of his book, a challenging task that forces them to examine their perceptions of fate, the world, and their places in it. And as their attraction to each other grows along the way, a romance blossoms that is anything but a fairy tale.

Sounds interesting, yes!? And made us think of Ingest, which we loved!! Now all we want you to do for your chance to win this proof copy of Between the Lines is tell us which book character you would love to 'come-to-life' and why?

Ummm that's a tough one! So many amazing, not to mention drop dead gorgeous, characters to choose from! I think it would have to be Zed from Finding Sky by Joss Stirling. Gorgeously apparently normal whilst hiding abilities beyond our belief and a bit of a dark streak, I think he'd be great! Loves to have fun with a hint of danger, sweet but with a pinch of sarcasm and very protective. Not to mention that the world he belongs to is simply incredible and just makes me long to be something more than just human lol
Yup I think he would have to be it :)

Thank you for the lovely giveaway!

That's a tough question, but I am going to pick Belgarion from The Belgariad/The Malloreon by David Eddings.
He is the main character and is eventually a powerful sorcerer, but he starts off as a farm boy. He is plain and humble and never once lets his power go to his head. He does things from the kindness of his own heart but thinks before making decisions. He also sounds cute so that's a bonus point or two. To be able to sit and ask what he really feels about thing and maybe get a demonstration of his powers would be great.

Hmm this is definitely a tough question!

I think I'd pick Albus Dumbledore. He's extremely wise, intelligent, with some exciting stories to tell. Also he's someone to look up to. Plus he's a kick ass wizard?! Maybe if he was real so would Hogwarts :-)

Oh my, there are so many characters I'd like to come out of the books! It's very hard to pick just one! x)

I think I would choose Adrian Ivashkov from Vampire Academy! He's such an amazing character and it broke my heart that the girl he likes take him for granted. This might sounds very silly but I'd love to be her girlfriend! Oh, and it would be absolute heaven if I can have Finnick Odair from Hunger Games coming to my life LOL! He's amazing, that's all. x)

Thank you for the amazing giveaway! :)

Funny how everyone picks the guys from books they fancy (apart from Dumbledore of course!). To be different, I'll go for Maggie from Inkheart because I think she'd be great company and I'd love to be read into a story!

Ah, to make a character to come to life... tough one! My obvious choice would be someone from Harry Potter, preferably Hermione or Luna. But, as I just read and cannot get it out of my head, I would choose St.Clair from Anna and the French Kiss. He is adorable and sweet and funny and would make a great best friend!
