Stacking The Shelves #31

STSmall_thumb[2]

Stacking The Shelves is hosted by Tyngs's Reviews and is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may they be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical stores or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

We love sharing our books with you each week but more importantly we loving see what you add to your shelves. All links added here will take you to goodreads.

Bungle's Shelf

This year I've made a resolution to not buy any books for at least 6 months (I'll try and go for 12 months). Now this might sound crazy considering that I work in a bookshop and have a book blog but I have at least 250 unread books on my shelves so I've enough to be getting on with. BUT I didn't say I wouldn't buy ebooks or that I cannot be sent books by lovely publishers and other bloggers :) I think I'd make a good Fairy, don't you!? So I did get a book this week but I didn't realise it was book 3 in a series of 4 but it's ok because it's an ebook and I'll be buying the other 3 :) So my book this week is While it Lasts by Abbi Glines. As you know I love The Vincent Boys/Brothers so I'll read anything Glines does from now on!!

While it Lasts (Sea Breeze, #3)  Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2)  The Goddess Inheritance (Goddess Test, #3)  Elemental: The First (Primord, #1)

Sally's Shelf

I got three books this week and only paid for one so I like to think that's really good shopping! The first book I got was one of my most anticipated for 2013 and that's Through The Ever Night by Veronica Rossi. I loved Under The Never Sky and though I'm only a few pages in it looks like this one will be just as good! Note we also have Aria on the cover here in the UK (which I love BTW). I'll be reviewing this one as soon as I'm done.

I also got two books for review from netgalley. I picked up the last in the last in The Goddess Test trilogy, The Goddess Inheritance by Aimee Carter. I've enjoyed this series which is not surprisingly a
twist on Greek mythology. When we last met Kate we had discovered she was pregnant. Now in this last book her pregnancy has all sorts of repercussions that put herself, those she loves and civilisation as a whole at risk. Am hoping that Kate really comes into her own in this one. I have great hopes for her. I also got Elemental: The First by Alexandra May. This book came out in Nov 2012 but I understand that there will soon be a sequel winging it's way to us. I love stories that are set in the UK, especially when they're in placed that I know as this one is. It tells the story of Rose Frost who becomes plagued by dreams when she moves in with her grandmother. But why? Hmmm...
Based around Stonehenge and the Salisbury Plains Elemental looks to have all the mystery and intrigue one might expect from some a location and there's also the rather intriguing Aiden Deverill...Sounds good to me!

So that's what we got this week, now we're off for a peek at your new books before settling down to carry on with what we're reading. Happy reading everyone!

I am very curious about Through the Evernight. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book, but something stuck with me because I want to read the sequel lol. I hope you enjoy all your books this week!

Lol, Bungle you would definitely make an excellent fairy. I hadn't heard of Elemental before but it sounds really interesting! I love books set in the UK, will definitely be investigating that one.
